New Vision Investors Make a Difference

May 12, 2015

This month we would like to showcase three great businesses that we are proud to call New Vision Investors:  Solarity Credit Union, Fulcrum Environmental and Fruitsmart.

Solarity Credit Union is a financial cooperative with over 48,000 members.  The credit union provides a full range of banking services and has branches in Yakima, Selah, Toppenish and Ellensburg.  Solarity proudly supports numerous community causes.  As an example Solarity employees invested over 1000 volunteer hours back to local charities last year.

Fulcrum Environmental Consulting offers planning, analytical, engineering, and scientific services to public and private clients in Central Washington.  With offices in Yakima and Spokane, Fulcrum helps its clients address environmental regulations, challenges and opportunities.  The company ultimately works to create healthy environments.  Fulcrum is also community minded.  The company routinely participates in Arbor Day festivities and routinely gets involved with local Habitat of Humanity projects.

Fruitsmart is a fruit processor based in Grandview.  The company got started in 1982 mining byproduct streams from local food processors to get valuable ingredients like fruit pomaces and seeds.  Over the years Fruitsmart has grown significantly.  It now offers a full range of fruit juices, purees, concentrates, essences, fibers, seeds and seed powders.  The company recently "adopted" the Extra Mile Student Center in Grandview.  Company employees spend time volunteering at the Center and the company matches employees contributions to this tutoring and drop-in Youth Center.

Thanks to all our investors for supporting our work to advance the regional economy.

"New Vision was a terrific help with our new facility in Terrace Heights. They saved us so much time and legwork, being able to tap into their expertise really helped with establishing our new facility. We appreciate their help so much – I don’t know where we would have gotten the information we needed without their help." - Tim Orth, Yakima Manager, Pacific Steel and Recycling
