Targeting New Industry Clusters for 2016

March 04, 2016

Moving into 2016, New Vision is leveraging technology, data and other resources to identify specific businesses that complement our existing demographics and business clusters.

Towards this end, New Vision attended Medical Design & Manufacturing Expo in Anaheim CA this month and met with over 20 companies. While at the show we were also able to meet with a variety of companies that were exhibiting at a plastics manufacturing expo being held in an adjacent location.

Our objective is to meet with industry leaders, learn about their business and gain an understanding of their needs and future plans. It’s about building relationships, listening, and learning how our area best meets their specific needs.

In addition to the Medical Design & Manufacturing Expo New Vision will be at six additional shows or conferences during 2016. We will be meeting with businesses in industries ranging from food processing to specialty plastics manufacturing to metals to outdoor equipment and even some pharmaceutical processing.

Over the course of the year New Vision will be attending:

Northwest Food Processors Expo – Processors, Packagers, and service providers from throughout the northwest gather to discuss the state of industry, build relationships, and explore future opportunities

Medical Design & Manufacturing and Plastics Expo – Specialty medical, electronic, and plastics manufacturers gather to showcase the latest groundbreaking technologies

Natural Food Products Expo – Everything to do with food will be represented here including over 600 entrepreneurial companies showcasing the newest food products in the world

International Council of Shopping Centers Real Estate Convention – The largest gathering of retailers, developers, and service providers under one roof in the world,

Outdoor Equipment Show – Features the latest in outdoor gear and recreational equipment from the newest and most innovative manufacturers to the household names we know and trust

Processing, Packaging, and Pharmaceuticals Expo – The most comprehensive processing, packaging, pharma, biopharma, and nutraceutical trade show in America

Fab Tech – A celebration of the strength of manufacturing featuring the latest innovations in the metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing industries

There are growing and expanding businesses that need a location in the Northwest. These trade shows provide an opportunity to meet with these companies and share with them the competitive advantages of Yakima County as a place to do business.
