Happy Holidays – Best Wishes for 2010

December 25, 2009 by Dave McFadden

As the new year approaches, the team at Yakima County Development Association hopes you enjoyed a great holiday season.  2009 has been an interesting and challenging year.  Let’s look forward to 2010 anticipating that it will be a more favorable year economically.  Let’s roll up our sleeves and make sure revitalization touches communities and cities across the nation and round the world.

At New Vision we will continue to market our region as a business location.  Our development team will also help local employers attract and retain talented employees.  And we will push two significant entrepreneur initiatives forward.  By fostering aggressive business development activities and addressing local workforce issues, we can spark economic improvement for communities throughout the Yakima Valley.

As I write this entry also be prepared for changes to our blog.  We will be retitling it to "President’s Pen", and it will feature a broader array of news and editorial items from New Vision.  We will still feature lots of good news about the Yakima Valley, but we’ll also aim to cover activities and intiatives that are helping strengthen our regional economy.

On behalf of the New Vision Board of Directors and Staff, we hope and trust that 2010 will be a great year for our Valley, Washington state, and the nation as a whole.
