Italstone US Opens New Production Facility In Yakima
September 25, 2009 by Dave McFadden
Italstone US, an importer and fabricator of fine granite and marble finish products, is making final arrangements to open its second location in Yakima, WA. The company, headquartered in Hood River, chose Yakima for its business friendly environment, lower business costs, and easy access to Washington’s major markets, namely Seattle and Spokane.
The new 8,000 square foot facility will have state-of-the-art equipment for fabricating fine stone for custom countertops, a design center, and sales space. Italstone will offer a large selection of marble, granite, onyx, and other designer porcelain tiles in addition to fabrication and installation. They plan to open with 20 new employees with capacity to expand according to demand.
Italstone is the only Northwest company to import, fabricate, and install stone materials. According to New Vision’s Business Development Director Lisa Smith, “Gjino has been working on this project for some time and we’re very pleased with the end result. The new facility looks great and is the first of its type in the Yakima region. The opening also continues to reveal the strength of Central Washington’s economy.”
