Yakima Streamlines Permitting with New Website

The city of Yakima announced today that its new website, www.buildingyakima.com, has been launched to expedite permitting and make it more customer friendly.

This website allows contractors/developers to download forms, request an inspection, check the status of their permit, submit questions, and more. According to Bill Cook, community and economic development director, “We are putting more of our process online so builders, developers, and the general public have convenient access to our code administration center. Our staff and the city council are pleased with the final outcome. Our goal from the start was to find ways to make the permitting run smoothly by providing convenient tools for contractors and developers and streamlining communication between them and code enforcement officials.”
